Terms and Conditions

These terms ("Terms") are an agreement between you and KP Tech LLC ("KP Tech," "we," "us," or "our"). They cover:
- Hoops University, our college basketball app for iPhone, Android and the web at hoopsuniv.com (together, "Hoops University" or "the apps")
- The KP Tech website at k-p.io and any services we provide to clients
By using Hoops University or this website, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use them.
Hoops University
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you're under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and they agree to these Terms on your behalf. Give accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and don't share your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
Free to play, for fun
Hoops University is free. Pick'em, brackets, contests, The Rec games, leaderboards and similar features are for entertainment only: there are no entry fees, no wagering, and no prizes of monetary value. We may correct scores, standings and results, and we may void entries or remove leaderboard positions that come from errors, cheating, multiple accounts or automated play.
Community rules
Rep your team. Respect other fans. Rivalry and basketball debate are welcome. When you post in game chats, team Locker Rooms, Press Row, Huddles or anywhere else in the apps, you agree not to:
- Harass, bully, threaten or impersonate anyone, or post hate speech
- Post sexual content, graphic violence, or anything illegal
- Share someone else's private or personal information
- Post betting picks, odds promotion, gambling links, or sell tips
- Spam, advertise, or post misleading links
- Use bots or scripts, scrape the apps, or try to get around security, limits or moderation
Your content
You own what you post. By posting, you give KP Tech a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display and share your content within Hoops University and its sharing features, so the apps can work. This license ends when your content is deleted, except where it has already been shared by others or where we must keep records by law. You're responsible for what you post and must have the right to post it.
Moderation
Authorized Hoops University moderators and administrators may review content anywhere in the apps, including private Huddles, to enforce these Terms and keep users safe, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, with or without notice. You can report content in the apps. If you think we made a mistake, email info@k-p.io.
Game information
Scores, schedules, statistics, rankings and game grades come from third-party sources and our own models. They may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Game grades, rankings and hype are opinions for entertainment, not predictions, and must not be used for betting.
Teams, schools and leagues
Team names, logos and marks belong to their owners and are used to identify teams. Hoops University is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NCAA, any conference, or any school.
Notifications
Notifications are optional. You choose which alerts to receive and can turn them off in the app or in your device settings.
Our apps and app stores
We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Hoops University for your own non-commercial use. Don't copy, modify, sell or reverse engineer the apps except where the law allows. If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; Apple is not responsible for the app or its support, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. If you downloaded it from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time. See how to delete your account. We may change, pause or stop parts of Hoops University, and we may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.
The KP Tech website and services
The k-p.io website provides information about KP Tech and its services. Use it only for lawful purposes and don't interfere with its operation or security. Any services KP Tech provides to clients are governed by the specific agreement, statement of work or proposal between KP Tech and that client. If those conflict with these Terms, the signed agreement controls.
General terms
Intellectual property
Hoops University, the KP Tech website, and their software, design, text, graphics and logos belong to KP Tech LLC or its licensors, except content posted by users and marks owned by others.
No warranties
Hoops University and this website are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don't guarantee they will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KP Tech is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Hoops University or this website. Because Hoops University is free, our total liability for any claim related to it is limited to $50.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Polk County, Iowa, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post changes on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and for significant changes we'll also let Hoops University users know in the app. Continuing to use the apps after changes take effect means you accept them.
